Military shoulder bag
When I saw images of old leather Swiss military map bags I thought they were the coolest bags I ever saw. I also thought they could use a little simplification and improvement.
I have made a small batch of them from 3mm veg tan - each bag is made from a single piece of leather. The straps facilitate a shoulder carry but can be adjusted to any length with the Conway buckles I have used. They will need additional holes which can be added prior to shipping if requested.
The rivets are only used at the top of the main seam on the edge to eliminate the chance of a snag on a fingernail. The seams are kept to a minimum and all hand sewn saddle stitch on the outside of the bag.
The inside and base of the bag are all kept as seamless as I could manage with ease of use durability and comfort the main priorities.
Specs: 3mm veg tan, hand sewn saddle stitch with copper rivets.
Internal capacity 190mm x 150mm x 45mm
